Easy Cellar by Tom Griffiths Review

Some think that books are a relic of the past, but we believe that they are wrong! Yes, you can find everything online nowadays, but some pieces of knowledge, especially first-hand ones, can only be gotten from books.

Today we will review one of the most notorious representatives of the survival genre, "Easy Cellar: The Ultimate Survival Program" by Tom Griffith.

The name says it all: it is a simple and easy guide on how to build a root cellar on your own.

The author implies that his tips and tricks will help you to avoid common mistakes and create a perfect place for all your supplies and even for you (if you need to use your cellar as a bunker).

Now we know what to expect from this book, let's dive into our review!

A note about the Author of the Easy Cellar

The Easy Cellar System was created by one man that could be called a cellar enthusiast (in our opinion), but with a great scientific background.

Although humans learned how to build cellars without any special degrees, we find that professionalism also plays a huge role.

We would not buy a biology book from a professional marketing specialist, so we think you get what we mean.

The author, Tom Griffith, worked as a nuclear safeguard inspector and was passionate about building his own root cellar to prepare himself and his family for a nuclear disaster.

We appreciate a nuclear safeguard inspector is not the first person that you think about when you plan how to store your vegetables, but it is true that his experience in the nuclear field can be helpful for this cause.

Upon searching for information about this book, we didn't find any reviews from people who work in the nuclear safety field, and we can't tell you are Mr. Griffith's words 100% accurate.

However, we did find many reviews from ordinary people who used this guide and found it extremely helpful and useful for them.

That's why we do give the benefit of the doubt to Mr. Griffith because we think that at least extensive research lies at the core of all of his books.

What is this Book about

The main purpose of this book, is of course, to show you how to build an awesome cellar! However, the author often shares advice with us on how to survive nuclear disasters and Fallout situations.

It is fantastic first-hand information you cannot find anywhere else!

The author will provide you with a very detailed step-by-step guide on how to build the safest and most convenient cellar using a lot of different material sources.

As it is said in the book, he shares the compilation of his nuclear background, the Native American methods on how to build a cellar, and tips from his neighbor, a war veteran.

Mr. Griffith also provides you with differing content for easy understanding: you can follow the useful charts, instructions, and other visual materials in the book to get a vivid picture of the whole process.

Also, Mr. Griffith prepared hours of video content for you with very detailed instructions related to different tips in the book. These will help you to get a fuller picture of what you need to do.

Diving Deep into Easy Cellar: What you can also learn from it.

Along with a general guide on how to build a cellar, Easy Cellar gives you a lot of useful advice on how to make the place not only a storage area for your food, but also a functional survival bunker.

For example, you will learn how to build the necessary plumbing in your underground cellar (for surviving, of course), like a toilet and sink.

Another section in the guide is dedicated to installing a good ventilation system.

People overlook this, but fresh, purified air is vital in any kind of survival bunker or cellar, so definitely take a look at this information if you decide to purchase the guide.

Keeping with the theme of nuclear catastrophe, Mr. Griffith shares many different tips on living after this terrifying event and how to leave your bunker safely.

Here, you will find useful information about radiation, its impact on you, and how you can cure the radiation's negative effects.

The list of the remedies includes about fifteen different ones and have been carefully chosen so that in the unfortunate event of a disaster, such as this, the ingredients will be readily available.

We sincerely hope that these particular parts of the book will never be useful to us, but better be prepared than sorry!

Tips on What You Need to Have in Your Cellar

The part of the books where the author shares his advice on what to store in your easy cellar we find especially interesting.

As for the food supply, The Easy Cellar System also writes specifically about the products that will be most useful in the time of disaster.

For those who were planning to use their cellar purely for fruit and vegetables, you might find yourself re-thinking your choices!

Easy Cellar shows you how to store your regular food that you eat every day, made from the vegetables and fruit you have grown by yourself.

You don't need to buy any dry-frozen packages from survival websites. According to Mr. Griffith, you can prepare food for up to three months and eat it as freshly made during this period.

Another brilliant part of the book is an ancient method of indigenous people on how to store water and prevent it from spoiling and poisoning you.

It is one of the most useful parts of the book, in our opinion, because water is an extremely valuable resource, and you need to know how to keep it fresh for long periods of time.

For those who want further information on this, specifically, we would recommend checking out The Water Freedom, probably the best guide on water generation, storage and purification of all time.

Where you can purchase the book

Well, that's the hard part! You can only buy the book in the bundle with the other books by Tom Griffith on his website.

You can access this, by Clicking Here

According to Goodreads, you could buy the books on Amazon previously, but now it is only available on the official website.

This might be a little uncomfortable for those of you who prefer Amazon or any other bookish website, but since this book is only available in ebook form, maybe it is not that big of a deal.

The actual format of the book, in digital form, is a convenient choice for many of us. However, we are speaking about a surviving guide that can be used not before but during a disaster.

If you don't have a good source of electricity, you are screwed! To get around this, we’d recommend that you print it out upon purchase and store it away for safe keeping.

For the bundle of three books (Easy Cellar, America's Natural Nuclear Bunkers, and 56 Items You Should Stockpile in Your Easy Cellar), you need to pay $37 dollars, plus tax.

This is exceptional value for money, as not only is the book worth all of the money several times over, you also get these additional bonus books thrown in as a gesture of goodwill!

Also, here’s a little cherry on top… if you don’t like Easy Cellar after your purchase, the author offers a generous sixty-days money-back guarantee.

This is very good of them in our opinion, because sixty days is more than enough to test the information you get from this book and work out if it’s a good fit for your personal needs.

What Else you Get with Easy Cellar

About the first bonus book, "56 Items That You Should Stockpile In Your Life Cellar", we find this one as a very organic and helpful continuation of an Easy Cellar's central theme.

This one is a simple guide that will help you create the ultimate supply of food, tools, helpful devices, and other things for your cellar.

It is not only about food, but about everything that can become very handy and sometimes necessary in times of catastrophic changes.

We think that you’ll find this particular book to be a guiding light that helps you to be prepared as best as possible.

The second book that goes in the Easy Cellar bundle is very niche and is most relevant to citizens of the United States: "America's Natural Nuclear Bunkers."

The author has expert knowledge in this field, and this theme does recur throughout the original book.

We think you’ll find this additional insight both useful and informative. Of course, we hope you will never need it, but if you do, it is there.

So, what does it tell us? The book is a guide on how to find natural bunkers, like salt mines in the big cities, small towns, and all the other places in America.

You will gain valuable knowledge about how to find them, get in there, and survive any nuclear disaster that may occur in your area. It represents the essence of any true survival book, and we rate it very highly.

Yes, the book will be less relevant for anyone who lives outside of the States, but the Easy Cellar book is a pretty niche thing too.

Inside, you’ll find many tricks and tips that can be used only in specific circumstances and places, in strong relation with American reality.

But if you are from the States, kudos to you, because with this book you have one more chance of surviving a nuclear disaster.

Our final thoughts – 8/10

Well, at the end of this journey, all we want to say is: you can only tell you love it, or you hate it if you try it.

Many survivalists build their own cellars, and you can usually find that, despite similar techniques, everybody makes this place a little bit different.

However, if you have a little knowledge in this field, you can surely use the instructions in this book and build a good cellar.

Is it a good book for expert level people who already know how to build a cellar? Probably not!

But we’re guessing most of you reading this article aren’t extremely experienced in this field anyway, therefore, we think you’ll find this to be a pretty inspiring read.

It is easy to understand, and it is a great book for beginners and intermediates.

As for the nuclear disaster survival part of the book: we expect this will be interesting for a wider audience, since barely anyone is particularly knowlegeable in this field.

You can add these tips to your personal bank of knowledge and hope that you will never have to use them.

So, our personal ratings of this book are eight out of ten, which is very close to Goodreads ratings of 4.85 points. It is an excellent guide and we look forward to receiving pictures of your own cellar after its completion!
